NEW BEGINNINGS
I want to share the scripture verse that the Lord has given me for 2008. Every year through a particular scripture verse, God reveals what He wants to accomplish. The verse is to help us improve our lives, that we will leave the year living our life walking closer to Him, to one another, as well as ourselves.
Before I reveal the scripture for 2008, I want to share our scripture verse for 2007. It is found in Luke 9:62. “But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” When I look at this verse there were many things that flooded my soul that the Lord wants us to be aware of. First, put my hand to the plow, then there is a work that needs to be done for the Lord. But am I willing to do it? The Lord always reveals what He wants and then gives us the opportunity to do it. So what are we plowing? We are plowing the world. If we LOOK BACK when we are plowing, we can’t plow a straight furrow because our past is always trying to get us to turn around and not accomplish our choice of plowing for the seed. God wants souls to be saved. This is why we must keep walking forward in faith and never look back. God needs us to keep moving toward Him in our words and deeds. We are His plowman.
The new year is the year for “New Beginnings”. We are all starting a brand new chapter for the Kingdom. The scripture verse for 2008 is Psalms 65:9-13. The verse states the following:
“You visit the earth and water it,
You greatly enrich it;
The river of God is full of water;
You provide their grain,
For so You have prepared it.
You water its ridges abundantly,
You settle its furrows;
You make it soft with showers,
You bless its growth.
You crown the year with Your goodness,
And Your paths drip with abundance.
They drop on the pastures of the wilderness,
And the little hills rejoice on every side.
The pastures are clothed with flocks;
The valleys also are covered with grain;
They shout for joy, they also sing.”
I do not have the full revelation of this verse yet, but by the end of the year, it will be revealed to all of us as the church of Jesus Christ. What I do know is that this year is going to be full of God*s presence. He is visiting the earth and an abundance of blessing will be poured out from Him to us. This is what the water represents. It is life. Also this year is going to be the year of growth inside the body of Christ like never before. Souls are going to be added to the church and there is coming a shout of joy and singing that will be heard all around the world. There is not going to be a shortage of what the church needs this year, for there will be an overflow of everything to spread the WORD to every nation of the world especially to the United States of America.
This new year will represent “New Beginnings” to people and ministries in the body of Christ. Those who have been hidden, so to speak, crying for God to reveal Himself. Those of us who have been believing through adversity are about to see God reveal his unprecedented glory. This is the beginning of ushering in a whole new level of God’s presence and magnificent power. God will prove our waiting has not been in vain. Let’s watch together and see the salvation of the Lord. We will rejoice together and say, “It is good to be in the house of the Lord”.
